One of my favorite SciFi TV series' from the 90's is Stargate SG1. When the movie was released, it blew me away. The story line was brilliant and allowed for an entire planets worth of adventure. I could just imagine discovering the new animals, plants, people. HA! The writers of SG1 dwarfed my imagination. Going to planets and fighting bad guys faster then anyone would be able to keep up. I always thought trying to continue the exact same story/adventure with the Ori they had with the Goa'uld. Honestly, I don't think that would have been necessary considering the thousands of planets and civilizations briefly tapped through the Stargate Network. Regardless, as a fan (and because I have a dozen or so empty picture frames to fill), I felt compelled to build this exhibit.

Jumping onto eBay, a brief search turned up these very official velcro patches. Simply sew on the velcro circle and then apply the patch.

Of course I just used a little poster tape. The next thing to create is an official SGC Top Secret File Folder.

I created this cover sheet from an image of just one of the many different variations used in the series. This cover sheet pdf is available for download. SGC Top Secret Cover Letter

This SGC Base Memorandum is (although difficult to see), part of the documents included in this folder. It can be downloaded here: Stargate SG1 Base Memorandum

8" x 5" Glossy Photos

The above two "ready to print" photos were created using a screen shot of the Goa'uld and a Movie Promotional Shot. I added the Cairo 1929 museum stamp. Just right click and download the picture to print. This is a high quality picture print meant for high quality glossy photo stock paper. The Coverstone image i found at a site called Wallpaper Abyss. Simply do a google image search for "Stargate Coverstone Plan And Details" and have the filter set for large images. The first one up should be a 3000 pixel size image. It'll give you a good print. Equally random designs of Chevrons make good documents to fill your folders with.

And, of course, A guy just has to have his own SG1/SGC ID Badge.

This SG1 Blank (png file type) lets you imagine the possibilities.

But, what if you want to be one of the base personnel... Maybe even the General?

SGC Badge Access Authorization

And these badges need base access authorization from the acting general in command of SGC. The SG1/SGC badges were created using Gimp the free and open source image editor. The file type is xcf. If you're an Adobe Photoshop user, Adobe will load it just fine. You can download the free and open source image editor here: Gimp.

The ID Badge File can be downloaded here: SG1/SGC ID Badge with Authorization

At this point it is important to note that this file contains all images, text and seals on individual layers. Each layer is labeled as to its function. For the most part, you'll only need to turn the visibility of each layer on and off depending on what you want to see. Some text, such as name and birthday may need to be edited in order to customize. Good luck.

Of course, a little bit of a paint job on the glass as a final touch.

Naturally you'll have to find (or make, like I did - with copies of the ACTUAL autographs) your own autographed photo.
