Last August (2018) I was notified that my company was making a move to a new facility. I found this to be pretty excellent news, except the new facilities has no windows. Not a single one. Well, this lead me on the trail to make my own window. After doing some research, I found that "Lenticular 3D Art" would be the cheapest, power efficient, and most effective way to create my window of choice. So, right away I ordered a beautiful tropical scene ('Cause, Why Not?). Unfortunately it was packaged badly and arrived cracked. So, I contacted the store and they sent me a replacement, free of charge. In the mean time I still had this cracked scene and didn't want it to go to waist. So I ran off to Walmart and picked up a $10 (at that time it was $10) wall clock and some planks.

The Wall Clock

I through the planks together, cut a large hole out to match the clock. Through a handle and a hinge on it and gutted the clock. VOILA! I have a port hole.

Of course it wasn't that easy. I had to take the lenticular, cut it to size and ad a backlight. The backlight cost me $12.00, out of New Jersey off of ebay.

The riveted cast iron ring is actually craft foam and thumb tacks. The craft foam is great and fools folks even close up. I picket it up for a buck and a half at the Hobby Lobby.

And, of course, it opens.
